LAWS 301 Torts
Instructors :
Location: Otago Polytechnic Lecture Theatre
Date: Sunday 6th October 9 AM – 4 PM
Tutor: Emily Watt

Emily is a fourth year Law and PPE student. Having done Law Revue this year and recently formed part of the winning team for the SOULS quiz night, she reckons that she’s now practically overqualified to teach anything law-related. Emily is also an Honours student, has topped papers in both her degrees, and will be clerking at Chapman Tripp this summer. She has previous experience tutoring at Arana, and knows how to simplify tricky concepts and work through them with people step-by-step. A fun fact about Emily is that she made it through to exams last semester without ever drinking coffee (sadly she’s now addicted). She also enjoys roping her friends into getting brunch at any available opportunity
What is a workshop?
We are often asked, what do your workshops actually involve and why are they useful? At each workshop, you are provided with a full booklet of notes which have been handcrafted by our high-quality tutors. Throughout the day, the tutor will run through the booklet of notes explaining each concept and working through practise questions with you. Our workshops run from 9 am – 4 pm so we can help as many students as possible. However, we know that your time is valuable, so we try and get the trickier bits done early on.
We provide all of our students with a sushi lunch and fruit throughout the day to keep you all energised and focused.
These workshops are great if you feel confident about the paper to give you an overview of all the concepts so you can see which topics you don’t know as well. Or as a crash course if you have neglected your studies throughout the semester and need to get over the line!
At Comtutor, we know that your time is valuable, so we try and get the trickier bits done early on. We also stack you up with sushi for lunch so you feel refreshed for the second half of your day.
If you have any questions, please email: [email protected] or message our Insta or Facebook page.
